Below are the requirements per age group to complete their Preliminary Assessment:
- Under 6
- 1st October 2001 to 30th September 2002
- No Swim required (can join anytime before 9th September)
- Under 7
- 1st October 2000 to 30th September 2001
- No Swim required (can join anytime before 9th September)
- Under 8
- 1st October 1999 to 30th September 2000
- 25m swim (any stroke) plus 1 minute survival float
- Under 9
- 1st October 1998 to 30th September 1999
- 25m swim (any stroke) plus 1 minute survival float
- Under 10
- 1st October 1997 to 30th September 1998
- 25m freestyle plus 1.5 minute survival float
- Under 11
- 1st October 1996 to 30th September 1997
- 50m freestyle plus 2 minute survival float
- Under 12
- 1st October 1995 to 30th September 1996
- 100m freestyle plus 2 minute survival float
- Under 13
- 1st October 1994 to 30th September 1995
- 150m freestyle plus 3 minute survival float
- Under 14
- 1st October 1993 to 30th September 1994
- 1994 200m freestyle in less than 5 mins plus 3 minute survival float

- Membership Costs
- Junior Membership $55 per nipper
- Junior Activities Associate Member (parents) $55 per adult
- Family Membership $170 (2 nippers + 2 parent) (or 3 nippers + 1 parent)
